I have decided that I will not join the legions of Star Wars Geeks tonight at the midnight showing of Episode 3. George Lucas will not be getting my $10 just yet. Perhaps in a day or so..perhaps next week. I know he’s desperate for the money, and I will do my best to see that he suffers.
The same way I suffered through Episodes 1 and 2. Damn you, George! DAMN YOU!

Lindsay quoted in MSN article: “Compared to a lot of actresses my age, I’m actually overweight,” the alarmingly slimmed-down teen queen tells Teen Vogue. “There are so many really, really thin girls out there.”
What an idiot.

I love this book. Good conspiracy-ish type story, good pace, good characters. Its been #1 on the best-seller list for like 5,000 weeks. Isn’t that a record?
So it was bound to happen. The book is now a movie, coming out next summer, starring Tom Hanks, Ian McKellen, and Alfred Molina (Doc Ock!), among others, and directed by Ron Howard.
When the cast was announced, Hanks seemed like a surprising choice. He didn’t really fit the character. But after thinking about it, and the type of character that Robert Langdon is, I think its a good call. And Molina as Silas? I pictured someone really big and built. Maybe they’ll get Molina a trainer and get him buffed up.
The other main cast members seem like logical choices, especially Jean Reno and Audrey Tautou, both French. Ian McKellen should be pretty cool as Teabing.
I really hope they have a good script, and I can’t wait to see the movie adaption. Check out the teaser trailer here. It doesn’t show any footage from the film” but its worth checking out anyway, if only to get the hype started.
Dude, I can’t wait.

Artist of the Year, IMO: Cowboy Troy.
Welcome to the emergent era of “hick-hop.” Gitchoosome!
I Play Chicken With The Train
I play chicken with the train play chicken with the train train, uh huh huh uh huh huh,
You know that I play chicken with the train play chicken with the train train uh huh huh uh huh huh yea,
Hold ‘em up,
Here we go,
All the Hicks and Chicks feel the flow,
Big black train coming round the bend,
Go on kin folk tell your mom and them,
Chugg a lugga [3x],
Who? The big black neck commin’ through to you
boy you done fell and bumped you head
uh huh, That’s what they said,
People say it’s impossible, not probable, too radical,
But I already been on the CMA’s,
Hell Tim McGraw said he liked the change,
That he likes the way my Hick-hop sounds
and the way the crowd screams when I stomp the ground,
Now, big and black, clickty clack
and I make the train jump the track like that
[Chorus - Big & Rich]
From mike take ascent deep into your ear,
My voice is your choice that you wanted to hear,
Southern boy makin’ noise where the buffalo roam,
Less denim an’ bone as you might have known.
See me ridin’ into town like a desperado,
With a big belt buckle, The Cowboy Dorado,
All over the World Wide Web you’ll see
download CBT on that MP3,
Speak clearly what I’m sayin’ so you comprehend
in the name of Hick-hop radio tune in,
Rollin’ like thunder on to the scene,
It’s kinda hard to describe if you know what I mean.
I never claimed to be the hardest of the brother’s hard rock,
But I’m booming out the box,
Skills got you jumping out your socks.
From Texas here I come
movin’ your body with the bass kick drum.
[Chorus - Big & Rich]
[Instrumental]
[Chorus - Cowboy Troy]
[Chorus - Big & Rich]
[Instrumental]
Huh, yea, one time,
Get you some of that!

What the hell is George Lucas doing on The OC?! The Star Wars marketing people must think that not enough people know about Revenge of the Sith to warrant this this appearance by the God of Geeks himself.
And he didn’t even talk about the movie!
The OC is a great show. Who’s with me? Anyone?

According to the New York Post, “Star Wars: Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith” will cost employers $626,880,000 in the first two days of its run.
Sweet. I think i’ll be part of that statistic. I will cost myself $130.60 in lost wages.
