The Dinogamereview:
Just finished the game on my PC here, and I must say it is pretty OK. Visually, the game is very nice, and character and vehicle models are rendered quite beautifully. The textures are nice as well.
Gameplay, however, is a bit lacking and repetitive in parts, and there wasn’t much action for an FPS game. Some parts actually dragged. There are times where you just walk around interacting with people, accepting missions for rewards. I was itching to find a gun and start killing fools.
There are a few highlights. As Riddick, you get to steal two different types of “mech” suits, and run around destroying stuff with high-powered machine guns and grenade/missle launchers. Very exciting and fun, but again, very short-lived.
If you haven’t played Escape from Butcher Bay, I suggest you rent it. You’ll probably finish it in a good day or so. Definitely not worth owning, but still good enough to check out for its visuals.
