So Hot The Cons of Dino

Custom Chuck Taylor Slip Canvas Cons:

Custom Cons

I’ve never owned a pair of Cons in this life (as opposed to another life), but that may change pretty soon. Converse is the latest in the hot new trend of DIY shoes. I took the challenge and designed my own pair, and frankly, I must say the Cons I designed above are pretty damn sweet. And at $60/pair, the price is quite decent.

Dino needs a new pair of shoes!

Lego Ferrari Racing Kit

Saturday, December 03, 2005

I would have to say this is probably the coolest product Lego has put out in a while:

Description

A must have model for Ferrari fans!

This authentic Ferrari model lets you dig into all of the detail of a true Ferrari F1 race car; the aerodynamic design, the monster V10 engine and the fully functional steering system. This 1:10 scale model measures an impressive 18.5 inches/47cm long and features big tires, colorful stickers and more to make it the ultimate racing machine. So jump into the racing seat, rev up the V10 engine and burn some rubber! Build your own part of the Ferrari legend.

The only thing preventing me from placing my order is the $70 price tag. Thats pretty expensive. But then again, pretty much all race car scale models go for about this price. Hmm...then again, its only $70. I hope they accept Discover.

I/O Brush

Monday, October 17, 2005

The geniuses at MIT have done it again.

I/O Brush is a new drawing tool to explore colors, textures, and movements found in everyday materials by “picking up” and drawing with them. I/O Brush looks like a regular physical paintbrush but has a small video camera with lights and touch sensors embedded inside. Outside of the drawing canvas, the brush can pick up color, texture, and movement of a brushed surface. On the canvas, artists can draw with the special “ink” they just picked up from their immediate environment.

See it in action. Let’s hope these guys mass produce and bring these things to market so I can get my hands on one. Yes please.

Voltron Masterpiece Edition

Tuesday, July 19, 2005

In celebration of Voltron’s 20th Anniversary, two new lines of Voltron action figures are being released: Voltron Masterpiece Edition and Voltron: I-Men.

I loved Voltron back in the day. It was probably my second bestest cartoon after The Transformers. I’ll have to get me some of these action figures.

Here’s a shot of the prototype:

Sweetness!

Jackpot

Wednesday, June 01, 2005

AK and I were lounging around Dave and Busters in Irvine, and after a few cocktails, decided to play some games before calling it a night.

First up: Need for Speed GT. Of course, I came in first place. Thank you very much.

Next: Virtua Cop. AK started first, then i slid the card through to activate the second player, and began shooting like crazy. It was at this time that a casual observer pointed out that my player was not yet activated and kindly pushed the “start” button for me. Thanks buddy.

Last: With only a few credits left, we decided to try our luck on the Cyclone (for those who don’t know what this is, see here). With credits entered, I took one look and hit the button. Jackpot! 586 tickets. Sweet. We proceeded to the redemption and were told that our card had some 1,100 tickets on there already. We now had a total of 1,900+. Looking around, we decided on this:

Introducing: The Dinoflask

Still have 1,000+ tickets left, and i’ve got vouchers from years ago, bringing the total to around 2,000. Enough for a couple of Jeff Gordon phones.
