Lost Not Found

Wednesday, February 21, 2007

Did anything of importance happen in Lost tonight? Which questions were answered? Last week’s Desmond-centric episode was much better.

I really need to start writing about 24 again. Its been good.

Lost Until February

Wednesday, November 08, 2006

Dang, no more Lost until February. I suppose that is a good thing.

Predictions: Sawyer will not die. Ben will probably die.

Hugh McIntyre on Jimmy Kimmel Live Tonight

Wednesday, May 24, 2006

Apparently Hugh McIntyre from The Hanso Foundation will be on Jimmy Kimmel Tonight. This should be quite interesting.

Speaking of the Hanso Foundation, Lost’s season finale should be pretty decent tonight. American Idol? Who cares! We all know Taylor Hicks will win. Watch Lost my friends, and learn the truth about what happens when the numbers count down to 0, about Flight 815, and whatever else they decide to tell us. And then be prepared to ask more questions, which will ultimately be answered in the next season’s season finale.

Ana-Lucia…Dead!

Thursday, May 04, 2006

Holy crap! Lost shakes things up by killing off another character. Notice I said “character” and not “characters”..more on that later, as I believe Libby may not really be dead. But first, Michael’s motives for killing Ana-Lucia.

Michael is desperate to get Walt back, and my guess is The Others forced him to kill Ana-Lucia and release Henry, to ensure Walt’s safety, and perhaps as a trade (?). Libby happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He had to make it look like Henry did it, so he shot himself in the process, and Henry is most-likely on his way back to his people.

Or it could be that Michael saw this as the only way to convince his guys to go after The Others. I don’t buy this theory because Michael already had Jack, Locke, and Kate sold on the idea of going after The Others. So that couldn’t be motive for shooting Ana-Lucia.

Is Libby dead? Hard to say. Michael shot her two times, and it appears that both shots were to the stomach/waist area. I don’t believe these wounds were enough to kill her. Also, as boring as Libby’s character is, there is still much more to the Hurley/Libby storyline that needs to be explored. Hurley can’t recall where and how he remembers Libby from his past and this may prove to be important, and I think their relationship needs to be expanded upon. And Libby still hasn’t had her own episode. All the major characters have had their flashbacks, except for Libby. I don’t think she would be killed off without us learning more about her.

Of course, the real reason Ana-Lucia died and Libby got shot is because both actresses were arrested for DUI in Hawaii. But then I read this TV Guide interview with Lost writers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, where they talk about Michelle Rodriguez, Ana-Lucia’s death, and her DUI. Apparently, her intentions were to stay on the show for only about a year, and then she would written out of the show. On the DUI:

Then she got this DUI and Damon and I looked at each other and we were like, “Oh, great. Everybody is going to think we’re killing her off because she got a DUI.” But there really wasn’t anything we could do about that. I mean, the story was set. We had made plans. With Lost, we think it out well ahead of when we actually shoot it.

I suppose this is possible, but I still favor DUI as reason for Ana-Lucia getting whacked.

Good stuff is finally happening on Lost, and I look forward to the remaining episodes of this season. I hope they end with something mind-blowing.

Ana-Lucia and Libby Charged with DUI!

Friday, December 02, 2005

Two ‘Lost’ Stars Charged With DUI

HONOLULU - Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros, who star on ABC’s “Lost,” were arrested within 15 minutes of each other in Kailua for allegedly driving under the influence of an intoxicant. Both failed field sobriety tests and were released Thursday on $500 bail each, police said. The actresses, who were in separate cars, were arrested after their vehicles were spotted weaving on Pali Highway, which connects Kailua and Honolulu, police said.

Watros, who portrays Libby on “Lost,” was arrested at 12:05 a.m. Rodriguez, who plays Ana Lucia, was arrested at 12:20 a.m., according to police records. Rodriguez was booked under the name Mayte Michelle Rodriguez.

I hope she didn’t shoot anyone by accident while drunk.

UPDATE:

Mugshots via The Smoking Gun:

And the before shots for comparison purposes:

Ana-Lucia looks worse, probably because she is in character. Libby looks like a porn star.

Lost 2x07

Dude.

With the extended episode hype, I was seriously expecting some earth-shattering revelation at the end of this episode, leading up to the shooting.

No such luck. Nothing really happened. The last few minutes were pretty much a waste. We still don’t directly see Ana-Lucia shooting Shannon, but with next week’s sneak, we’re lead to believe she did indeed do it.

Overall, I wasn’t too impressed with this episode. Some new information was revealed. Somehow, The Others knew the names of the people on the plane, or at least some of them. How did they know? I was also hoping to see a flash-back or two, especially of Ana, but that didn’t happen.

Aside from Ana, the only other person I find intriguing is Mr. Eko. Why is he called Mr. Eko? Very mysterious! But, he seems like a cool cat.

Next week will certainly bring forth some fireworks as the two groups clash. I think Mr. Eko will unite and bring them all together. Although, I would much rather see some West Side Story style finger-snapping action, accompanied by a cool musical number.

Lost 2x06 - Shannon is Dead!

Thursday, November 10, 2005

Ana-Lucia shoots her! But is she really dead? Good stuff. I always felt she should’ve gone first, not Boone. He is the better actor of the two.

Anyone notice Jack’s brief cameo as he brushes past the doctor Shannon was talking to? And Shannon’s dad is the guy who gets into an accident with Jack’s wife! Adam Rutherford...Shannon Rutherford...Crazy! What are the chances!?

Overall, this was a fairly OK episode...somewhat slow at the beginning, but it picked during the latter half..

Next week we get a special Extended episode, and we get to see the story of the other survivors, from the beginning.

Sweeps are good.

I never got around to writing about episode 5. Mostly, it was because I felt this was one of the weaker shows this season, so far. Jin and Sun’s back-story seems rather boring. I want to see more of Jin as a hitman.

It was pretty obvious that Sun lost her ring while burying the bottle. I kept saying “Dude, it’s in the sand where you buried the bottle!”

How annoying is Michael when he screams out Walt’s name?

WALT! WAAAALLLTTTTTT!!!

WAAAALLLLTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-HALL-HALLL-TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!

I swear, if he does that one more time....

I predict a lot of fireworks when Ana-Lucia and BOTP (back of the plane) crew join up with the FOTP (front of the plane) crew. Too many alpha types in one place if you ask me.

Three long weeks until the next episode.

Jin doesn’t speak English after all. Hugo was dreaming it. I’m not going to dismiss the whole Jin-speaking-English plotline just yet however. I think theres a good chance he does.

What’s up with Ana-Lucia? She’s pretty annoying with her i’m-in-charge attitude. Someone, hopefully Sawyer, will shut her the hell up.

Rose’s husband is a white dude. I’m surprised, but at the same time i’m not. I like the casting decisions the Lost casting people are making. We should be seeing more of that these days.

I wonder if Hurley had any money invested in the Hanso Foundation. He had some money in a box company, which Locke worked at. Could he also possibly have invested in Hanso?

Here’s something interesting I found through AintItCool.com: Browse to http://www.thehansofoundation.org to see a website for the Hanso Foundation. Theres some interesting material on there. Then add an “s” to the “http”: https://www.thehansofoundation.org.

Now, I would like to take pride in the following which I did myself: http://www.bigspaceship1.com brings up an interesting site. The title has dots and dashes which I deduced were morse code. I googled morse code translaters which led me here and helped me translate the morse code to reveal the following: Narvik For Life.

Interesting stuff, wtf does it mean?
