Frakkin-Ay! Who watches Battlestar Galactica? Now, in its second season, this has to be one of the best shows on TV..after Lost of course. Actually, its a tough call, as both are very good.
I know what most of you are thinking. Battlestar Galactica?! The remake of the old, cheesy 70s show?! Yes I say! This show is nothing like the original. Its completely different, intelligent, and stands on its own as one of the best dramas on TV. Plotlines are intense, action and acting are great.
Last season, Galactica had a 13 episode run, not counting the miniseries. This season, we’ll be shown a full 22 episodes! Frakkin awesome! Its good to have quality shows on TV during the summertime, when nothing else is on.
After being shot, operated on, and then sedated, Adama was finally brought out of his drug induced sleep in episode 4, after Tigh frakked things up royally by declaring martial law. Undoubtedly, this lead other ships to oppose martial law, and refused to resupply Galactica with essential materials. Adama’s son Lee, who was being held in the brig for helping President Laura Roslin form a mutiny, but then released to protect Galactica from a Cylon attack, helped Roslin again by consipiring an escape plan to leave the ship and stop Tigh’s madness. Tigh, unable to command properly, ordered Adama to be awakened hoping he would be able to put things on the right path.
This is what has happened so far, in a nutshell. I haven’t touched upon all the other plotlines, since it would take a while to explain.
I can’t wait to see what happens next!
