Great news! Apple officially supports Windows on Mac with the release of Boot Camp! With the ability to run XP natively! Dual boot!

Good business decision by Apple, IMHO. If you can’t get Windows users to switch to OSX, why not give them the ability to run Windows on Mac hardware, along with OSX, on a dual-boot platform? Give them the best of both worlds. Although i’m sure hardcore Apple fan-boys out there will say there is no “best of” in the Windows world.

Now, who would like to buy my Dell Inspiron 6000 so I can purchase one of these:

being the hardcore apple fanboy that i am, i will go ahead and say that there is no best of in the windows world...but that people have the option of going to windows if necessary is cool. it certainly opens up the mac’s ability for gaming, but the reason why this is a good decision for apple is that its a total trojan horse. hardware geeks that drool at the mac and then curse OSX before ever using it will buy it, install XP on it but eventually realize how truly top of the line and better OSX is. the ability to dualboot is basically going to increase apple’s marketshare both from a hardware and softwre perspective.

    hooray apple! :)
